A big thankyou to Victor for inviting David along last night; and as it turns out, he wants to become involved! More news coming soon! Another thanks also to Jack and family for providing Mike with a life-times supply of bamboo stripping that Mike requested for the show.
Cheryl showed the amazing gnome work she has achieved with a headpiece and beard that will win awards. The development of the remainder of her gnome costume is underway, and will surely surprise! Cheryl and Tessa are the company's most regular attendees too! No surprise then, how far 'off book' they both are. Ash is also frequently unencumbered by the book. Well done ! This must make Mary's job a lot easier. Not that there's anything easy about being Hermia and Cobweb.
Sarah has joined us in her first rehearsal last night, and I look forward to seeing what she does with Puck's character. Meanwhile Chris (Quince) and Helen (Flute) have finished their first week on the show, and the best is yet to come. Scott's Egeus is so much fun to work with, because I have all my scenes feeding him straight lines being Theseus, which Egeus manages to top with Scott's thoughtful and hilarious delivery of the punchlines.
Apologies from Tilly and Briamber last night, but Adrio tells me hours of work has been spent in their own time perfecting Tillies choregraphy for The Tango, while Briamber has now concluded her previous commitments to her choir.
Jacinta (using our famous sponsors, Just Copiers), has delivered some posters, and Mike and his wife Barb have been putting them up enthusiastically. Soon Meg (Stage Mgr.) tells me, it will be time to advertise tickets for sale, so get posters up now! Speaking of Meg, she has begun her task as S.M. , and I'd like the cast to get with her new prompt book and check the script for blocking please. Well that's this week folks, and remember, Don't Hesitate To Communicate: Gary
